Skin DEEP: The History of Child Welfare by Race was created because Shanelle saw a gap in learning for those who work with families. Too often, family serving organizations see the disparities and disproportionalities and want to help, but have no idea why its happening and what to do about it. Learn how Skin DEEP can help.

Eyes to See

Skin DEEP is a racial equity infused professional development training that helps organizations working with families understand why the history of race matters and how it connects to their current work. Skin DEEP builds a foundation to develop "eyes to see" and "ears to hear" when equity is absent or present within an organization.
